Microsoft’s Internet Explorer losing browser share

In March we told you about the demand for Bigger, Better Browsers getting fierce. Today it was reported on the BBC News website that Microsoft’s Internet Explorer losing browser share.

“Microsoft’s Internet Explorer (IE) web browser, now accounts for less than 60% of the market, down from 95% at its peak in 2003, according to new figures.”

This is fantastic news for web designers and web users alike. The importance of competition in the web browser market is a vital part in driving the web forward. With new and updated web browser releases, the possibilities for development and expansion of creativity online grows.
